adventure“冒险（为了寻求刺激，为了人心振奋）”
一次我跟一个外国人去bungee jumping蹦极跳，那个外国人跳下去非常潇洒，等他跳完后，他跟我说“It’s your turn.”，我两腿抖得厉害，不敢往下跳，也不知道谁踹了我一脚我就下去了，在空中我哇哇大叫，下来以后面色惨白，哇哇大吐，我当时就问，“是哪个傻哥们把我踹下来了？”原来就是那个外国人，他还对我说：“You don't have the sense of adventure.”（你没有冒险精神。）

adventurer“冒险家”
venture作名词“冒险（有生命危险，有财产损失）”，joint-venture大家一起共担风险，合资企业；作动词“冒险”，例：Nothing ventures, nothing gains.不入虎穴，焉得虎子。
vent，ven=come
advent=ad（to）+ vent（come）名词，“到来”，例：With the advent of computer, there is an essential change
in our daily life.随着电脑的到来，我们的生活发生了非常大的改变。
Invent=in + vent来到这个世界上
1动词“发明”，inventor发明者，invention名词，发明，如the invention of telephone电话的发明
2“捏造”，例：They invented a very convincing excuses.他们捏造了一个非常有说服力的理由。
convince=con（fully）+ vin（win）+ ce完全的征服，“使确信”，搭配convince sb. of sth.让某人确信某事，例：How can I convince you of his honesty? 我如何才能让你相信他是诚实的呢？
discover=dis（not）+ cover动词“发现；发觉”，例：They discovered that their luggage had been stolen.他们发觉行李被偷了。
uncover=un + cover“揭露；打开（覆盖物）”，如uncover the truth of the matter揭露事实真相，uncover the bottle打开瓶盖
recover=re + cover“痊愈；失而复得”，如recover the stolen car找到了被盗的小汽车
prevent=pre + vent“防止”，例：Nobody can prevent us from getting married.没有人能阻止我们结婚。
